Canoeing is divided into two sports: kayaking and rowing. Kayaks originated from a small boat made by the Inuit in Greenland, which was wrapped in whale skin and otter skin on a bone rack and rowed with oars with paddles at both ends. Rowing boats originated in Canada, so they are also called Canadian rowing boats.
Kayaking, originated in the 60s of the 19th century in the Eskimo on the island of Greenland, North America. In January 1924, the "International Canoe Association" was established in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, abbreviated as 1. R.K.
