Comfort

The Ridewave Inflatable Viper Kayak is designed with both stability and comfort in mind. The side chambers are made with non-drop-stitch material and inflate to around 3 PSI, offering a softer, more cushioned feel against your sides while paddling or fishing. The EVA foam deck pad on the floor adds additional grip and padding underfoot, making long hours on the water more enjoyable.

The kayak comes equipped with a deluxe raised seat, which keeps you elevated off the wet floor and offers extra support and cushioning. During testing, the seat remained comfortable for 5–6 hour fishing sessions, keeping the paddler dry and relaxed throughout.

While the Viper does not include built-in footrests or foot pegs, this isn't a major concern for its main purpose-leisure paddling and fishing rather than long-distance touring. The open cockpit provides enough legroom to shift positions and stretch out during use.

That's why the Viper is built with maximum on-water balance in mind.

With a 36-inch width, the Viper offers a wide and steady base. Whether you're casting, reeling in a catch, or reaching for your gear, the kayak remains extremely stable on calm or mildly choppy waters. You're more likely to step off by accident than to flip it over-that's how solid it feels underfoot.

Thanks to its high-pressure drop-stitch floor, the Viper is rigid enough to stand on for sight casting or fly fishing. The EVA pad deck provides extra grip and cushioning, adding confidence when you stand. However, like most inflatable kayaks, the standing area is somewhat narrow due to the large side tubes-so your stance may be a bit close together compared to a hard-shell fishing kayak. Still, for most fishing conditions, the Viper offers plenty of support and reliability.

Portability

The Ridewave Inflatable Viper Kayak weighs approximately 44 lbs, which is slightly heavier than some basic inflatable models-but much lighter than traditional hard-shell fishing kayaks, which can weigh over 100–140 lbs and often require trailers or heavy-duty carts. For a fishing-ready inflatable kayak with added features and structure, the Viper strikes a great balance between weight and performance.

When deflated and packed into its large-capacity carry bag, the Viper becomes compact and manageable. While it may not be ideal for long solo hikes, one person can carry it over short distances without much effort. The carry bag is also designed with extra space and flexible folding, so you don't have to struggle to fit everything back perfectly. Even after a quick pack-up at the water's edge, you can easily zip the kayak and accessories into the bag and be on your ways.
