1. All-round board
The all-around board is the most popular and versatile SUP type, cruising mainly in lakes or calm ocean bays. The all-around paddle board is very stable and suitable for beginners and children. Depending on the size and shape, they can sometimes be used for yoga, fishing, or even some small waves.
The all-rounder is usually about 10'-12'6'' long, 30''-34'' wide, and rounded.

2. Still water plate/cruise board
These boards are designed for long-distance rowing and are generally longer and more stable than all-around boards, and the longer length makes this type of paddleboard easier to paddle, making it ideal for multi-day paddle boards, long trips.
The oversized size and faster glide speed make the cruise plate ideal for those who are on the fat side. The large shape of the plate, the volume and displacement are also large, which allows the board to carry more necessary items for long-distance travel, such as drinking water, food, clothing, etc.
Travel boards are usually 11'-14' long and 28''-32'' wide. Due to the width, floating, and stability of these plates, they are very useful for beginners.

3. Racing board
Compared to all-around boards, racing boards are usually longer, narrower and have pointed heads, and some also have displacement hulls for more efficient water cutting, resulting in a faster ride.
Since the racing boards are narrow, they are not very stable, but they glide through the water better than other paddle boards.
Paddle boarding competitions are divided into two categories: short course race length of 12'6'' and below, long distance race length of 14', average width: width 24''-27''

4. Fishing board
Fishing boards are specifically designed for fishing, so stability is most needed, so they tend to be wide boards, so there is a trade-off between width and speed.
A professional fishing board has a large space for fishing gear and should also be equipped with gear attachments and fixtures. A typical fishing paddleboard is 11'-12' long and 32''-34'' wide.

5. Yoga board
Any paddleboard that is large enough to be stable enough can be used for yoga, but some boards are specifically designed for yoga. The yoga board is wide and stable, also great for families, good for cruising, bringing kids or pets.
A typical yoga paddleboard is 10'6' wide and 33' wide with a round head.

6. Surf paddle board
Surf paddle boards come in a variety of shapes and sizes to suit the rider's ability and weight. The smaller the surfboard, the more flexible the surf, but also the more unstable, so it is more difficult for beginners. In order to catch the waves, many experienced ronin start surfing with paddle boards, especially when the waves are weak and it is difficult to catch the waves through the surfboard. By standing on the board, you can also better understand the upcoming crash point so that you can choose the best wave.
The average length of a typical paddleboard is 7'-10'5' and the average width is 27''-32'''.
